Fitness for me has evolved as I’ve grown older. As a child I played sports and did a lot of physical activities outside. For me, fitness came from having fun. There was no going to the gym, eating well balanced meals, and counting calories. Jump forward a few years and I’m in college. I no longer play on sports teams and do NOT spend much
Fitness for me has evolved as I’ve grown older. As a child I played sports and did a lot of physical activities outside. For me, fitness came from having fun. There was no going to the gym, eating well balanced meals, and counting calories. Jump forward a few years and I’m in college. I no longer play on sports teams and do NOT spend much time outside. My time is now spent studying and hanging out with friends. This new lifestyle began to show on my belly and affect my emotional status. Reality hits, I’m no longer fit.
For the next few years, I, like many, would hit the gym hard then quickly stop just as quick as I started.
It wasn’t until a few years later while working in the marketing department for a health and nutrition company that my fitness mentality changed.
The company had a weight loss product line that was not meeting sales expectations. It was around this time my brother-in-law shared with me a 12-week fitness program another nutritional company was doing. The company was having tremendous success in sales due to them sharing transformation photos. Instantly I knew we could do a similar contest and use their transformation photos to increase sales.
I received the green flag to move forward with the contest and 4 months later I had the photos I needed... but, I also ended up with something even more powerful. letters. Many of the contestants wrote to me sharing their transformations saying how they ended up with more than just a physical change. Many shared how their emotional wellbeing had improved along with relationships. I too participated in the contest and achieved the same results. It was here my love for fitness really began!
